SUDDHA DHARMA MANDALAM

Main Symbol of Suddha Dharma Mandalam

At Suddha Dharma Mandalam, we preserve the ancient lineage of Suddha Raja Yoga given out by the Adept-Hierarchy under the direction of Bhagavan Sri Narayana. This is a comprehensive path that integrates Knowledge (Jnana/Vidya), Devotion (Bhakti), and Action (Kriya/Karma) in a perfect synthesis.

Rooted in the Srimad Bhagavat Gita and the ancient Sanatana Dharma, Suddha Dharma is universal and transcendent. It is not limited to any particular creed—neither exclusively Vedanta, nor Vaishnava, nor Sakta—but is the "Eternal Cosmic Law" meant for all of humanity, regardless of nationality, age, or background.

Whether you are drawn to the internal discipline of Raja Yoga, Meditation, and Pranayama, the sacred vibrations of Mantras and Kirtans, or the ritual purity of Pujas, our Mandalam provides an environment for authentic growth. We honor the heritage of the Ancient Siddhas and Mahatmas, guiding seekers toward a life of supreme peace and universal brotherhood in this world and hereafter.

Suddha Dharma Mandalam: The Eternal Path

"I Salute the supreme teacher, The Truth, whose nature is bliss, Who is the giver of the highest happiness, who is pure wisdom, who is beyond all qualities and infinite like the sky, who is beyond words, who is one and eternal, pure and still, who is beyond all change and phenomena and who is the silent witness to all our thoughts and emotions. I salute Truth, the supreme Teacher."

— Ancient Vedic Hymn

Suddha Dharma Mandalam: An Introduction

What are the origins of Suddha Dharma teachings? Suddha Dharma teachings are based on the existence of a spiritual government of the world—a "Government of Synthesis"—where matter and spirit are seen as complementary aspects of the same God.

Approximately 18 million years ago, powerful beings came to Earth from an evolutionary cycle much superior to the one we are living now. At that time, life on Earth was very rudimentary, and the evolution of the human form was in its beginnings. These beings came to Earth to help humankind in their evolutionary process, to speed up this process through their influence, and to act as a school for humanity through direct guidance once a higher level of consciousness was reached.

According to Suddha Dharma, every planet has a Narayana. This is not a personal name but a functional title (Director) who directs evolution at all levels. The Hierarchy directs through guidance that respects the specific time and circumstances of each era.

The Supreme Hierarchy

  • Sri Bhagavan Narayana: The Director of the Supreme Hierarchy.
  • Naradeva: A Maha-Siddha and fragment (Ansa) of Bhagavan Narayana. The representative and mediator for Humanity (represented as Arjuna in the Gita).
  • Sri Yoga Devi: The Supreme Divine Energy and Goddess of Yoga. The Divine Shakti (Power of Action) and executrix of Bhagavan Narayana's will.

Accompanying Bhagavan Narayana are the 32 Siddha Nayakas. They arrived millions of years ago to help impart Yoga Brahma Vidya (the Synthetic Science of the Absolute) across the world.

The Structure of the Teachings

The teachings were preserved for 12,000 years in the Maha Guha of the Himalayas. The structure of the Suddha Dharma Bhagavad Gita consists of 26 chapters and 745 verses, organized according to the 24 syllables of the Gayatri Mantra. These are divided into 4 groups (Shatkams) of 6 chapters each:

Gnana Group (Ch. 2–7): The knowledge to follow Dharma.
Bhakti Group (Ch. 8–13): The development of the will to follow.
Karma Group (Ch. 14–19): The means or action to achieve realization.
Yoga Group (Ch. 20–25): The synthesis and transcendence of Knowledge, Will, and Action.

The Absolute (Brahm) is described in two aspects:

  • Samasthi (Unitary Aspect): Represented by the syllable OM (Chapter 26).
  • Vyasthi (Manifested Aspect): Described in Chapter 1 as A.U.M., where A is Spirit, U is Matter, and M is Shakti.

The original power, Yoga Shakti, initiates the process of differentiation and divides into three forces: Gnana Shakti (Knowledge), Iccha Shakti (Will), and Kriya Shakti (Action).

There is an ancient school of wisdom known as Suddha Dharma Mandalam, also called The Great White Hierarchy of the Himalayas or the Cosmic World Governing and Guiding Body. Its roots were established during the initial period of our current era, the Kali Yuga.

It was reorganized by the Divine Chief of this Hierarchy, Sri Bhagavan Narayana. This ceremony took Tplace on the full moon day of the month of Vaisakha of the year Nala (Vaisakha Purnima), which corresponds to our month of May. The sole announced aim was to facilitate faster access for mankind to the path of divine enlightenment.

Suddha Dharma is a repository of the essence of ancient philosophical and religious teachings. These universal and non-sectarian teachings result from the study of life's evolution and the form and trajectory of human evolution. This wisdom is not new, as the study of the mysteries of nature has been evolving since time immemorial.

The Mandalam's Purpose and Method

The body of knowledge acquired by the Masters has been passed on to students throughout history through a gradual process of self-training, thus maintaining the school's structure. The School's ideal is the pinnacle of human aspiration, and its purpose is to fulfill human destiny by promoting the material and spiritual progress of society.

Practicing the principles taught by Suddha Dharma Mandalam enables the aspirant to:

  • Study the nature of man and the universe.
  • Understand their position in cosmic existence.
  • Coordinate their inner and outer lives and thus realize, through the synthesis of Yoga, the human potentialities that lead to the attainment of peace and happiness.

Its methods include the practice of the Four Dharmas:

  • 1. Ahimsa: Non-violence.
  • 2. Satyavachana: Truthfulness.
  • 3. Loka-Kainkarya: Selfless service to the world.
  • 4. Dhyana: Meditation, an introspective practice that leads us to knowledge of the deepest aspects of human nature.

Yoga Brahma Vidya and Suddha Raja Yoga

The spiritual system taught by SDM is called Yoga Brahma Vidya, meaning the Synthetic Science of the Absolute. This science offers a complete and integrated path for the aspirant to know the Self and achieve cosmic realization. It focuses on samiskarana (spiritual purification), the process of purifying the seven vehicles of consciousness. It is important to remember that the greater yoga tradition is one of Self-Realization, not only at an individual level but also as the goal of all life and creation. Suddha Dharma is the highest expression of this level of yoga.

Suddha Dharma is different from other Yoga schools originating in India or other countries. It is exclusively esoteric and non-sectarian. Its unique goal is to protect all human beings and provide them with the Divine laws of conduct. These laws are meant to help them advance on the path toward progressive spiritualization, progressive contact with the Divinity (Brahman), and a pure material existence.

The Organization's objective is to offer the teaching of Yoga Brahma-Vidya (the Synthetic Science of the Absolute) to all human beings without distinction of color, sex, or sectarian differences. The spiritual and material aspects of life cannot be separated because they coexist eternally.

"The objective that we, as humans, have when we have a body, is to reach contact with the Divine Resident (ATMAN) that lives within us."

To reach this contact, the discipline (Suddha Raja Yoga) taught in this Mandalam (Organization) is easy, pleasant, and assures positive results. Suddha Raja Yoga is the original system of Yoga as it was taught by Lord Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, and it is this system that is practiced in this ancient esoteric school.

The Sanskrit word Suddha means pure and transcendental. Yoga, among its many meanings, signifies harmony, connection, devotion, and a science of Self-realization and meditation.
